A loan program for students who do not qualify, in whole, or in part, for subsidized Federal Stafford Loans. The terms for an unsubsidized loan are the same as for subsidized Stafford Loans except for interest payments: the government does not pay interest on unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans.
